April 21st, 2017 - Behind the wheel of the Bennings Heat & Air #c8 Super Late Model, Timothy Culp visited Atomic Speedway (Alma, Ohio) on Thursday for the Buckeye Spring 50. With 34 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries signed in for the first night of the four-day stint, Timothy started the night off with a heat race win positioning him fourth on the starting grid for the feature. The following night Culp headed to Sharon Speedway (Hartford, Ohio) for the Steel Valley 50. Following up the fastest time in his qualifying group, Timothy locked his spot into the feature with a runner-up finish behind Scott Bloomquist in his heat race. Falling one spot short of a Top 10 finish, Timothy Culp registered an 11th place outing.

April 8th, 2017 - On Friday night Timothy Culp invaded Batesville Motor Speedway (Batesville, Arkansas) for the two-day Bad Boy 98. Drawing 45 cars for the event co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) and the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS), Culp experienced engine issues in hot laps preventing him from competing in qualifying and his heat race. April 2nd, 2017 - After capturing the biggest win of his career the following weekend, Timothy Culp returned to action on Friday for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned contest at Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Georgia). In a field of 32 cars, Culp placed 7th in his heat sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the Top 3 into the opening night feature, Culp edged his way with a 3rd place spot. Rolling off 22nd, Timothy jumped up four positions in the 50-lapper registering a 19th place outing.

The following night 22 LOLMDS entries were on hand at East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Alabama) for the Alabama Shootout. Scoring a 3rd place finish in his heat race, Culp earned the 8th-starting spot for the feature. With $12,000 on the line, Timothy dropped back to a 10th place finish when the checkered flew.

On Sunday Timothy stopped at Duck River Raceway Park (Wheel, Tennessee) for the $10,000-to-win finale. Starting the night off with a heat race win, Culp locked into the 2nd-starting spot for the main event. Jumping into the lead on the lap 4, Timothy held the top spot until Don O’Neal regained the lead on the nineteenth circuit.
