February 24th, 2017 - Hopping behind the wheel of his Open Wheel Modified, Timothy Culp traveled to Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi) on Friday night for the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) sanctioned contest. Starting on the pole of his heat race, Culp slipped back to a 5th place finish sending him into the B-Main for another shot at the feature. Taking the Top 5, Timothy ran into mechanical issues before the consolation event preventing him from making it out.

On Sunday Timothy returned with the USMTS at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) for the final night of the Summit Racing USMTS Southern Region presented by Production Jars. Starting near the tail of his heat, Culp logged a 7th place spot giving him one last shot at the $3,000-to-win finale with a B-Main appearance. Transferring the Top 5, Timothy edged his way with a 4th place finish. Rolling off 20th, Timothy Culp wheeled his way through the field 14 positions in the 40-lapper reeling in an impressive 6th place finish along with the KSE Racing Products Hard Charger award.

February 19th, 2017 - Back with the the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS), Timothy Cup headed to East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) on Monday for the 41st annual Wrisco Winternationals. In a field of 44 Super Late Models, Culp placed 8th in his heat sending him into the B-Main. Needing to place 3rd or better to make the opening night $5,000-to-win A-Main, Timothy logged a 5th place outing.

Returning on Tuesday for another $5,000-to-win feature, Culp posted an 8th place finish in his heat transferring him into the B-Main for one last shot at the main event. Sending the Top 3, Timothy gained three spots in the 12-lap consolation event but came two positions short of transfer spot with a 5th place finish.

After Wednesday’s portion was cancelled due to rain, Timothy was one of 45 signed in on Thursday for the $7,000-to-win main event. Starting on the tail of his heat, Culp improved three positions but came short of transfer spot with an 8th finish. Transferring into the B-Main for one final shot at the feature, Timothy placed 6th bringing an early end to his night.

With the weather cancelling the $12,000-to-win finale on Saturday, Culp headed to Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida) on Sunday for his final Speedweeks event. With 44 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series entries signed in for the Bubba Army Winternationals, Culp placed 9th in his heat giving him one final shot at the feature with a B-Main appearance. Needing to place in the Top 3, Timothy Culp posted a 10th place outing bringing an early end to his night.

February 11th, 2017 - Timothy Culp made his 2017 season debut at Golden Isles Speedway (Brunswick, Georgia) on Friday night for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) season-opener. Drawing 51 entries for the two-day Rhino Ag Super Bowl of Racing, Culp placed 8th in his heat giving him one last shot at the opening night A-Main with a B-Main appearance. Needing a 2nd place finish or better to make the show, Timothy logged a 7th place outing.

On Saturday night Culp was one of 51 cars returning hoping to pocket the $12,000 top prize. Taking the Top 3 out of the heats, Timothy fell back to a 7th place finish after getting spun around.
