September 30th, 2017 - Hopping behind the wheel of his Open Wheel Modified, Timothy Culp traveled to Batesville Motor Speedway (Batesville, Arkansas) on Wednesday night for the IMCA sanctioned weekend. Drawing 91 cars for the inaugural Race for Hope 74, Culp secured his spot into the opening night preliminary feature with 2nd place finish in his heat behind Chris Abelson. Coming short of a Top 10 finish, Timothy registered a 15th place outing.

Returning on Thursday evening for another round of preliminary features, Culp slipped back to a 5th place finish in his heat ending his night early.

Needing to place in the Top 8 in the final preliminary feature on Friday to make the $20,000-to-win main event on Saturday night, Timothy logged a 4th place finish bringing an early end to his weekend.

September 23rd, 2017 - Friday night found Timothy Culp in action at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) for the annual Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ 100. With 42 Super Late Models signed in for the unsanctioned weekend, Culp improved three spots in his heat registering a runner-up finish behind Mike Marlar. September 16th, 2017 - On Thursday night Timothy Culp returned to action at Knoxville Raceway (Knoxville, Iowa) for the opening night of the Knoxville Nationals. Drawing 56 Super Late Models for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned weekend, Culp locked his spot into the opening night feature with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Spencer Diercks. Earning the 10th-starting position, Timothy dropped four positions in the 25-lapper registering a 14th place finish.

The following night for another round of preliminary action, Culp recorded a 7th place finish in his heat race transferring him into the C-Main. Sending the Top 4 into the B-Main, Timothy landed a 4th place finish transferring him to the tail of the B-Main. Needing to place in the Top 6 to make the final $7,000-to-win preliminary feature, Culp came up short with a 20th place outing.

September 9th, 2017 - Timothy Culp kicked off the 47th annual World 100 weekend on Thursday night at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio). With 105 Super Late Models registered in for action, Culp secured his spot into the opening night feature with a 3rd place finish in his heat race. Earning the 13th-starting position, Timothy fell six spots to place 19th.

Returning on Friday night for another $10,000-to-win preliminary feature, Culp slipped back to a 5th place finish in his heat transferring him into the B-Main. Sending the Top 2 into the show, Timothy landed a runner-up finish behind Jonathan Davenport positioning him 23rd on the starting gird for the A-Main. Bringing the World 100 weekend to a close on Saturday, Culp came up two spots short of a transfer position in his heat race with a 5th place finish. Needing a 5th place finish or better in his consolation event to make the $50,000-to-win finale, Timothy fell one spot short with a 6th place outing.
