1November 29th, 2014 - Timothy Culp put a wrap on his 2014 campaign over the weekend with a $1,500 triumph in #C8 Benning's Heat & Air/Carrier/Twisted Open Wheel Modified.

Diamond Park Speedway (Nashville, Arkansas) was the destination, as a field of twenty-five entries converged on the 3/8 mile oval for the Thanksgiving Shootout. In preliminary action, Culp mounted a great charge from seventh to finish second in his sheat race, which positioned him starting fifth in the evening's main event. When the race went green, Timothy quickly worked his way up to second and set his sights on race leader, Chris Henigan. Culp trailed Henigan for much of the event until contact with a slower car on the final forced Henigan to check up. This gave Culp the advantage he needed to slip by Henigan and lead the final circuit to the checkered flag. Henigan held on for second followed by Brain Craighead in third.

1November 8th, 2014 - Timothy Culp returned to the Open Wheel Modified ranks over the weekend as he competed in the 8th Annual Winter Nationals at Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana).

A stout field of sixty-six entries filled the pit area for Thursday night's $2,000-to-win opener, which was sanctioned by the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS). Culp drew the fifth starting spot for his heat race unfortunately, mechanical issues resulted in an eleventh place finish. Timothy's heat race misfortune relegated him to a b-main where he would start from the eighteenth position. Despite starting near the back of the pack, Culp mounted an impressive charge through the field to a sixth place finish. However, only the top four finishers transferred to the 30 lap feature, bringing his night to an early end.

Friday evening's program saw the winner's check increase to $3,000, as seventy-two Open Wheel Modifieds registered for battle. Timothy advanced from fifth to finish fourth in his heat race, which left him short of locking into the feature. As a result he would have to run a b-main where he started fourth. Unfortunately, a flat right-rear tire during the b-main would once again bring Culp's night to a disappointing early end.

The $4,000-to-win finale for the 8th Annual Winter Nationals was contested on Saturday night, and Culp would enjoy a much better outing as he claimed a heat race win to earn a spot in the redraw for the 50 lap feature. Timothy received the seventh starting spot on the feature grid, and battled amongst the top ten throughout the event before crossing the finish line in ninth.
