August 13th, 2016 - Competing in his second night out in his GRT Race Cars #c8 Super Late Model, Timothy Culp headed to Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) on Thursday night for the rescheduled Ralph Latham Memorial. In a stout field of 65 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) Super Late Models, Culp edged his way into the $30,000-to-win A-Main with a 3rd place finish in his heat race. Running in two rounds of heat action the following night, Timothy logged a 7th and 6th place finish transferring him into the B-Main for one last shot at the $50,000-to-win Sunoco North/South 100 on Saturday. Sending the top two into the 100-lap A-Main, Culp recorded an 8th place exit earning him a spot into the 30-lap Non-Qualifiers feature. After getting caught behind a tangle-up, Timothy decided to save equipment and withdrew from the event.

August 5th, 2016 - On Friday night Timothy Culp returned to action traveling to I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) for the Rockabilly 33. Drawing 30 Super Late Models for the two-day COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) sanctioned event, Culp placed out of the top four in his heat sending him into the B-Main. Storming to a consolation win, Timothy earned the 15th-starting position for the feature. Battling for a $2,000 payday, Timothy Culp moved up five spots posting a 10th place finish.
