February 27th, 2016 - Hopping behind the wheel of his Open Wheel Modified, Timothy Culp was one of sixty-fix entries signed in on Thursday night at Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana) for the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) 5th Annual Cajun Clash. Starting in 6th for his heat, Culp stormed through the field to pick up an 8-lap heat race win. Earning a 6th place starting spot for the feature,  Timothy ran into some issues as he fell back to a 26th place outing.

Starting on the pole of his heat race on Friday, Timothy fell back to a 4th place finish sending him into the B-Main. Needing a 3rd place finish or better to make the $3,000-to-win A-Main, Culp came one position short with a 4th place outing in his consolation event.

On Saturday night to wrap the three-day USMTS Cajun Clash, Timothy gained one position in his heat but failed to hit a transfer spot into the A-Main. Transferring the top three out of the B-Main and into the feature, Culp edged his way into the main event with a 3rd place finish. Battling for a $4,000 payday, Timothy Culp gained six spots in the 50-lapper recording a 18th place outing.
