August 22, 2020 - On Thursday afternoon Timothy Culp traveled to Batesville Motor Speedway (Batesville, Ark.) to take part in the 28th annual Comp Cams Topless 100 weekend. Drawing 48 cars for the event co-sanctioned by the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS), Timothy fell one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a fourth place finish. Cruising to a 10-lap consolation victory, Culp locked into the 19th-starting position for the $5,000-to-win preliminary feature. Passing four cars in the 30-lap affair, Timothy notched a 15th place outing.

With preliminary results from Thursday and Friday setting the grid for Saturday night’s main event, Timothy was 19th overall in preliminary points, transferring him into the B-Main. Grabbing the third and final transfer spot, Culp locked into the 21st-starting position for the Comp Camps Topless 100. With $40,000 on the line, Timothy ducked into the infield hot pit on lap 29 after suffering a flat. Joining the field from the tail, Timothy Culp worked his way up to a 13th place finish in the remaining 74 circuits.
